West Coast of the United States

What amazed me the most during our trip to the US, is its diversity in both the beautiful landscapes I have seen and the different kinds of people with different backgrounds, cultures, and races coexisting together and calling one country their home

West Coast

San Francisco

Things you can do:

Golden Gate Bridge

Your trip to SFO would not be complete without a photo with the Golden Gate Bridge, this bridge is definitely one of the most photographed bridge in the world and is a prominent symbol of San Francisco,.

Fisherman’s Wharf

This is a busy tourist destination where you can explore a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants.

Don’t forget to try the famous Clam Chowder and Sourdough Bread at Boudin’s Bakery!

Pier 39

Downtown San Francisco

Union Square

Take the Big Bus Tour

SFO Big Bus Tour

I honestly enjoyed this tour, but we did this tour at around 4pm and it really became very cold riding at the top deck… this is a hop on, hop off bus tour that would get you to most of the tourist attractions in San Francisco. You can choose where to hop off and explore certain areas, and just ride another bus with the same company which is usually every 15 minutes.

Ride the Cable Car

I enjoyed the experience, but would not probably do it again when I come back.

*Note that there would be a line and you’ll pay 7 dollars for a one way ticket.

Alcatraz Island

We didn’t avail of the boat tour to Alcatraz Island but this Island remains to be a popular tourist destination in San Francisco, you can see the Island from Fisherman’s Wharf.

Lands End

Lands End is a hiking spot that will give you amazing views, we weren’t able to hike but we stopped by at the western end of the trail and these are the photos that we were able to capture.

Palace of Fine Arts

Lombard Street

Painted Ladies

Napa Valley

Napa Valley is well known for its vineyards, and very scenic spots. This is definitely part of my favorite places in the US.

Things you can do:

Castello di Amorosa

Castello di Amorosa is a medieval inspired Tuscan Castle and winery.

Dean and Deluca

If you love grocery stores as much as I do, don’t forget to drop by Dean and Deluca in front of Sattui WInery and you may find something you like.

*They have a branch in the Philippines.

Oxbow Napa Public Market

Stop by for delicious food and wine.

Los Angeles

Things you can do:

Hermosa Beach

Just wander, explore and observe… That’s how i want it to be when I come back to this area. It’s a lovely spot to watch people.

Venice Beach Canals

Venice Beach Canals is definitely one of the most picturesque places I have seen.
