East Coast of the United States

We spent the other half of our trip at the East Coast of the United States…

We flew from Las Vegas to New Jersey via Southwest Airlines which allows 2 luggages per person for free as long as they follow the size and weight requirements and we had a stopover at Denver.

NEW JERSEY

EDGEWATER

One of the best places to see the New York Skyline from afar is at the Edgewater, New Jersey. There is also a place here called Mitsuwa Marketplace which houses different Japanese food options from Ramen, Japanese Curry, Matcha flavored desserts, Ebi Tempura and etc.

MILLS AT JERSEY GARDENS

If you’re planning to do quite some shopping, note that it would be cheaper in New Jersey because the tax is lower. Head over to one of its popular outlets , the Mills at Jersey Gardens!

NEW YORK

ROCKEFELLER CENTER/ TOP OF THE ROCK

Of all the skylines I’ve seen nothing would truly compare to New York’s. I’ve heard and read reviews that the skyline is best viewed at the Rockefeller Center especially because the view would include the iconic Empire State Building.

STATUE OF LIBERTY

Your trip to New York would never be complete without the Statue of Liberty Cruise that would take you to Ellis Island and the Lady Liberty Monument. Note that entering the statue is not included with the boat cruise; if you want to reach the pedestal or the crown of the Statue of Liberty you need to buy the tickets days or weeks before.

TIMES SQUARE

CENTRAL PARK

Central Park has easily become one of my favorite places in New York because I find its existence to be brilliant! When you look at NY you wouldn’t even think that there is a huge acre of park in there. It’s like an escape from the chaos of the city. The Central Park is huge, so if you only have a limited time, check its map and plan ahead.
