    Singapore

Singapore— the melting pot of Asia, a blend of eastern and western influences. This country is seriously one of the most disciplined and cleanest I have seen, I didn’t even see a fly here even in their food centers. Upon arriving in Singapore we decided to buy the Singapore Tourist Pass Plus for each of us, it is an ez-link card that gives you access to Singapore’s basic bus services, LRT and MRT. To be honest this was a wrong move because when I computed everything it definitely was expensive… if on a budget just opt for the ordinary ez-link which you can load and use to pay for different things…

We spent the other half of our trip at the East Coast of the United States… We flew from Las Vegas to New Jersey via Southwest Airlines which allows 2 luggages per person for free as long as they follow the size and weight requirements and we had a stopover at Denver.   NEW JERSEY   EDGEWATER One of the best places to see the New York Skyline from afar is at the Edgewater, New Jersey. There is also a place here called Mitsuwa Marketplace which houses different Japanese food options from Ramen, Japanese Curry, Matcha flavored desserts, Ebi Tempura and etc. MILLS AT JERSEY GARDENS If you’re planning to…

West Coast of the United States

What amazed me the most during our trip to the US, is its diversity in both the beautiful landscapes I have seen and the different kinds of people with different backgrounds, cultures, and races coexisting together and calling one country their home… West Coast San Francisco Things you can do: Golden Gate Bridge Your trip to SFO would not be complete without a photo with the Golden Gate Bridge, this bridge is definitely one of the most photographed bridge in the world and is a prominent symbol of San Francisco,. Fisherman’s Wharf This is a busy tourist destination where you can explore a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants. Don’t…

    Ilocos, Philippines

ILOCOS, you are so rich in history. You are a place where remnants of the past are still evident yet you have used it to create your unique contemporary existence. Pagudpud, is the northernmost tip of Luzon and is well recognised for its beautiful white sand beaches. The trip to Pagudpud took us 12 hours because we had a stopover at Vigan, Ilocos Sur and ate at Café Leona. We tried Tina’s Empanada in Vigan, but I can’t really say that it’s the best because it’s the only one I’ve tried there… I honestly like how crunchy it is but I find the Vigan Empanadas sold here in Pampanga tastier.…

Things You Can Do In El Nido, Palawan When Tours Get Cancelled

Who would not want to visit El Nido? It is one of the primary destinations of the Philippines and it has always been a part of the Top Beaches of the World. Just seeing photos of it in the internet makes you want to teleport there and marvel on God’s creation. We booked our flight last year when PAL had a sale, we got it for 1,119 pesos only. CRK-PPS I sure am very lucky on flight sales! 😉   The ride from Puerto Princesa to El Nido took us 6 hours because of the stopovers the van had to make but others make it with only 5 hours of…

Obtaining a US Tourist Visa in the Philippines

    Kansai 2017

KANSAI REGION— home to many cultural and historical sites. We visited Japan again but only stayed in the Kansai Region. So instead of buying the JR Pass again we just opted to buy the Kansai Thru Pass for 3 days which you can use non consecutively. The pass lets you ride the subways, private railways and buses in Kansai area but excludes JR trains. It was priced at 4,000 yen for a 2 day ticket and 5,200 yen for a 3 day ticket. Using the Kansai Thru Pass we were able to visit Himeji Castle, and travel to Kyoto and Nara. On our second day we visited Kyoto’s Nishiki Market…

    Hanoi and Halong Bay, Vietnam

Imperial Citadel of Thang Long Vietnam’s capital races to make up for time lost to the ravages of war and a government that as recently as the 1990s kept the outside world at bay. Its streets surge with scooters vying for right of way amid the din of constantly blaring horns, and all around layers of history reveal periods of French and Chinese occupation – offering a glimpse into the resilience of ambitious, proud Hanoians. (http://www.lonelyplanet.com/vietnam/hanoi/introduction) We visited Hanoi, Vietnam and took a day tour at Halong Bay last October 14-18,2016. We stayed at Hanoi Elegance E-Central Hotel.   First breakfast and first Pho in Hanoi was eaten at Pho…

    BORACAY

Boracay has a lot of water activities available, it has great variety of restaurants, a vibrant nightlife and beautiful sunsets… This is our second time in Boracay, there were gloomy times of the day on this second visit and sometimes it can be too cloudy and the beautiful orange sunset is not achieved but nevertheless still a beautiful sight to behold. We stayed at Ferra Hotel, it’s a new hotel which is just a 5 minute walk from D’mall (main commercial and shopping center).  They have super nice staffs! Everyone were super nice from Front Office to Housekeeping, and they have very clean rooms and comfy bed perfect for a…

    JAPAN

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” -St. Augustine of Hippo On our first day in Japan, we got confused on directions and the ticketing machine in Japanese, I think we really looked very confused because a Japanese woman suddenly approached us and helped us with the machine and even volunteered to help us get to our hotel since it was just near her workplace… After leaving our luggages in our Hotel in Osaka we did not waste time and already headed to Kyoto’s Tenryu-ji Temple and Fushimi Inari Shrine. We already planned on visiting a lot of sites on our first…
